I recently acquired this sofa. I'm not sure if its an ultra rare version of Kurt Ostervig's chair 57A or what. Please help with any info you can provide.
I do know that it is was purchased in Denmark in the late 40s or early 50s.
Thank you!

Is it the same sofa? (And...
Is it the same sofa? (And $7k-$9k for an "attribution" is quite a price, even for a very good looking sofa).

Yes, same sofa.
Yes, that's the same sofa. I ended up taking half of the opening bid which was a fair price, I felt.
If it goes for a ton, so be it.

Leif:
Edit: I must have posted this milliseconds after samsmodern's post. I wonder what it'll go for...
While I cannot be sure it is the same, and agree that the price is outrageous for an attribution, they seem to be the same sofa to me. The seams are in the same places, the color scheme of the plaid on the seat cushion is the same, the shape seems precisely the same, etc.
Just thought it would be a good addition to this thread.

An Attribution
It does seem like a ton for an undocumented attribution, but I suppose we'll see.
It will be interesting to watch, gulp, but if it goes for a ton I'll need copious amounts of lagavulin.
