Krueger
Krueger started out in the 40s making your standard metal folding chair. In the 50s they started making fiberglass pieces to compete and copy Herman Miller. They continued on to the present day, unfortunately descending into the bland world of corporate and contract furniture.
$2 ain't bad for fun chairs.
Incidentally- if you ever find yourself at the China Moon Buffet/Greyhound Bus station in White River Junction, VT, be sure to peek in - a million multicolored Krueger shells next to a giant window that peeks from the bus station into the Chinese windows.
Are mine worth anything?
Hi,
You seem to know a bit about these chairs, I haven't been able to find out much so far. I have 2 vintage Kreuger vinyl/fiberglass chairs (potato chip style, no arm rests)probably from the 1960-70s that my mother gave me. Do you think they are worth anything? Stamped"Kreuger Metal Works", some rust but the shells are in great shape. I may sell them if I can get a decent price.
Thanks,
Kate
