I'm trying to help out a friend looking for a Knoll tulip table with marble top. A dealer sent me these photos of a table for sale. It's supposedly a table from the late 90s and has a Knoll Studio tag. However I read on multiple posts in the forum that the top should be connected to the base with a central rod, without visible screws. Is this a fake table (and label)? Thank you

Tulip base design
On vintage Tables - and I assume the new ones are no different - the table base has on top of it a wood round brace that then attaches to the table top.
The fakes I have seen have the screws going from the base directly into the table.
It would not be hard to go on-line and see how the current models appear underneath. There are plenty of stores online showing the undersides etc.
Most people on here can steer you away from fakes of vintage, but with newer pieces perhaps not so much. Like I said, this info will be easy to find from the current manufacturer - Knoll has no problem helping people about current models via phone or email.
