Hmmm, I need extra storage space so badly ! I have been banging my toes on all the boxes of books, clutter everywhere, can't find my stuff & reference material and it's time for major action..
I have been thinking of getting a series of Kewlox bookcases like the ones in the OWI- picture below (in a different color) to house all the books and A4 maps. They will be stocked every inch with heavy things (books, mainly). The website says they should be able to hold heavy loads, but in the showroom the shelves looked so thin :os it's a bit scary. I don't want to risk all my books to come tumbling down..
so any Kewlox owners out there ? Do you use your cupboards to store heavy stuff ? Are the shelves holding up over seral years of use ? Any info would be greatly appreciated !
Yes we have a set of vintage...
Yes we have a set of vintage Kewlox in our kitchen. We have replaced the old Unalit shelves by contemporary ones in MDF. They can support quite an important weight (see below). The weight supported probably depends of the depth of the units. Ours are 32cm deep.
Thank you..
Thank you for the replies guys, it's really reassuring to hear it's holding up so well. Kewlox it will be !
P& A love the pictures of the cupboards, and the richness of cute Ruska china inside :o) I have some pieces (only a tiny bit), so I know how heavy they are. It is reassuring to see the shelves can take it.
I was thinking of 3 or 4 cupboards of 100 cm wide and 42 cm deep (if it's less deep the doors can't close when you put in A4 maps, and I've got heaps of those. Oh, and I really want doors to hide all the potential mess..).
