I'm being offered this chair, and told it was McCobb by the seller. But I just saw an identical one being sold as Katavolos. I can't validate it as either. Does anyone know whose chair this is. I love the base!

Just saw one of these
I saw this exact chair at the Pier Show in NYC. I asked the same question. I thought it was a McCobb. I was told by the dealer it was not. But she never told me who the maker/designer was.

I saw the chair too
at the Pier show, which is what prompted me to post here. She had it labeled as Katavalos, and stated so, when I began to inspect it. The chair I want to purchase is being offered as a McCobb.
So anyone else have an opinion?

2 cents plain
It is most certainly not by Paul McCobb. That being said there are many possible manufacturers for this design, the main culprits being Modernmasters, Country Workshop and Reilly-Wolfe. There's also seems to be a good chance that Selig manufactured a variation as well but I have yet to adequately document this.

Katavolos
As far as the Katavolos attribution goes you could always ask him directly. He is currently a professor at Pratt University
