I bought this Kaare Klint lamp back in the summer - its an original one from the 40s or 50s with the bakelite switch etc. They originally used pleated paper shades - the one you see is modern cheap plastic one - the proper Le Klint ones are still available but also made of plastic now and damned expensive (100 euros just for a plastic shade + another 20 euros for the metal frame - the f#&*ing lamp only cost £3!!) - so I'm thinking about making my own. Has anyone ever made diy lampshades or know eher I can get instructions / plans?

Thanks Robert I'm going to...
Thanks Robert I'm going to order some samples + I found a great 1946 austerity booklet (from the Council of Industrial Design) with a section on making paper lampshades...
