Picked up this chair at the weekend, it was a bit of an impulse purchase but it was very cheap. Ive searched the internet & had a look through my books but am unable to put a name to it. Maybe just from ikea???
No markings or labels. The castors are Kevi castors, Denmark, and the torsion bar under the seat is marked Ring Mekkanik, Norway...

I tried to buy one of these...
I tried to buy one of these and the owner who absolutely did not want to sell stated it was by Finn Juhl not Arne Vodder. Looking at the Finn Juhl model 218 they are pretty close as is the base of the chair shown in Finn Juhl's office.

Thanks . . .
Thank you shipwright. Yes, I think you could be right. Arne Vodder for C.S. Mobler c1964. Does look like a replacement base. Have you got a picture of the Finn Juhl chair you mentioned?

The chair I tried to purchase...
The chair I tried to purchase was in a high-end store mostly selling Danish furniture the man who told me it was Finn Juhl had been working there since 1969 now if I think really hard I may even remember that he showed me the catalogue with the chair in it. If you look at the Vodder arms they flare up whereas the Juhl arms are more horizontal like your chair.
