A sofa and pair of benches by John Vesey performed remarkably well at last months Wright auction. Sofa-$68,500... Benches $26,250.00
The work is interesting (not really my cup of tea and I prefer the benches to the sofa) but the ascent in value is staggering, no?
Furthermore, information on Vesey and his work is thin. There is reference to his Maximillian group in Alcoa Design Forecast 1....other than that, I have not been able to find much. Anyone know anything more about the enigmatic Vesey or where his work might be further documented?
