John Mascheroni flat bar chair?  

I just picked this up.
Tag on it stating John Mascheroni, but I can't find this chair anywhere on the web. Looks a lot like a Thayer Coggin or Milo chair.
I'm guessing it originally had cushions on top of this?
As well as arm pads?
Also I have included 2 pics of upper back holes
that may have the intent to hold chairback upright?
There are no holes in the fabric but there is a little room for a divot pin of some sort.
There are holes under the arm as well...
What can I use to hold the back upright?
