Hi everyone.

Im in love with the old industrial lamp.
But I cant really find any good info on the different
types that was produced in different periods. Some has green metal etiquettes (I read that this should be the oldest productions) Some has blue and some black. (And some again stickers instead of metal etiquettes. I read this should be the newer productions. Thou some of them still look really old)

The orig old colours from the 1950ies should be metal-green, black/gray and metal??

Any help will be much appreciated. Maybe someone has a link with info in this. Also searched for books on subject. But found none. Now I rote a mail to Jielde, so lets see..

Cheers,
Mads

Love Jieldes
They are everywhere at the French brocante faires that I go to in both their unrestored state as well as stripped and polished.
I like them both ways. The old ones are indeed puke green paint on metal. They have a green metal label. Be careful if you are refinishing because the label will peel right along with the old paint. Pry up the two little pins and take the label off before you strip and grind them.
People get really creative when manufacturing bases. None of the old original unrestored ones I've seen come with bases. They were all clamp-on lamps. They now use all kinds of graduated stacked metal discs or even bases mounted on wheels for the floor lamps.
Prices at market are dependent upon number of segments.2-segment table top lamps are about 80 euros unrestored and around 250 fully restored. The really desirable 5-segment floor lamps are about 200-250 unrestored and 500-575 restored, (all prices in euros).
The unrestored Jieldes are usually the first things to go at the markets. If you don't get there before 9 am or so, they are gone!
