Does anybody have any details as to when/if Jens Risom's 665 chair design was modified throughout its manufacture? Some original design sketches at least had the axis point for the leg joist line up with the base (see sketches at http://www.dwell.com/articles/fascinating-risom.html), however the Knoll product as well as any knock offs/repros I have ever seen all have the axis point sitting lower.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I've trawled net without any luck.
