yes, he is still alive.
I live in the hamptons, right near where Jack is living on his long house preserve.
I do not know for sure if he is still designing for companies, by my assumption would be no.
But more on the long house reserve. He has multiple sculptures by the likes of chihuly and peter vulcus. But the building it's self, which is also amazing, was designed by a man named charles forburgh, a man who my father used to work for. As for lineage, Charles was Walter Gropius' son in law.
So i'm sure some of his talent was osmotic.
