As few of you know, there are two type of naugahyde covered Eames fiberglass shell chairs. One cover is actually adhered to the shell and is extremely hard to remove. With manly force the cover can be removed, leaving a lot of foam still stuck to the fiberglass. The second is a removable cover. The removable cover has a metal wire perimeter inside the naugahyde. Note on this cover, there isn't black banding on top of the naugahyde, it's actually underneath. The covers can easily be removed with some force and Viola! you have a brand new shell.
The fun part is....what color is the shell???????
Here are two arm shells. What color do you think is the shell under the cover? If you're smart and know something about Eames fiberglass colors, you may be able to guess correctly....maybe:)

Difficult to guess
But it's probably one of the more common earlier colors.

Can we just be good-looking and lucky instead?
Either way I'm screwed, so I'll go ahead and throw all my chips on pink.

my guess
Orleans,
Red-Orange, guessing this would be the most common commercial color at that time, would be my choice.

I meant corn chips.
The ones that have been in the cabinet for six months because the store brand is not good enough for my kids, apparently.
I like yellow, too, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
