I had to quickly return to Palm Beach as to be sure that my condo and 2 historic rental homes (both of which are elevated less than 10 feet above sea level) were properly shuddered and hunkered down. Luckily, the storm track passed to the east, producing only slight wind and heavy rain. Wind and flood insurance is nearly impossible to get anymore...so I'm forced to self insure. Today , all is back to normal...and I'm heading back to the midwest. My thoughts are with anyone who's affected.

Whoah! Only just checked this out, hope you guys got through ok, after what happened here there was a lot of cleaning up to do, still is but in retrospect it wasn't all bad, it got rid of the weaker structures and forced government to deal with some problems that wouldn't have been looked at otherwise.
Perhaps next time things will be better.
