So I found this pair of old round wood-framed (or maybe gesso) mirrors and while I didn't really want them, I noticed some very small, very faint writing on the back, and being a sucker for a good mystery, had to buy them just so I could figure out their story.
Except, I couldn't read the writing! No matter what. All I could (maybe) decipher were two words "of California" -- and naturally I was thinking well, maybe it's Glenn of California, and then it's interesting.
Only, it didn't really seem like the word in front of those two words was Glenn, it looked more like "__ene" or "Rene" - and suddenly it looked like the 3rd line might have said "Garden Grove, California"
So I started googling various pieces of the phrase, when...
eureka! A hit! (link below)
Then I'm wondering, ok, who is this "Irene of California" so Google sends me here:

and then here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irene_Lentz
So now my question is: is that fashion designer (Irene Lentz) the same one whose name is also on framed art/mirrors? I can't find any other "Irene of California"
