I have someone who wants to purchase from me (in the US) and is located in France. UPS is not an option; the rates are crazy. The shipment (a couple of Eames shells) is not crazy big or heavy.
Can anyone recommend a shipper?

I have this issue...
all the time! There isn't an easy way to get around the expense of shipping international. USPS can sometimes be the best way to go. They have rules about how large packages can be and they vary county by county. I'm sure that you can find this info online. Also import taxes can be crazy expensive for the buyer (which can lead to problems). There are ways to 'get around' some of these costs depending on how the idea is described (gift, products...) but this isn't a good idea because you need to insure the item for what its actually worth to protect yourself.
They already have the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and the Notre Dame Cathedral. Lets keep the Eames Stateside. 🙂
