Thanks Matty, the unit...
Thanks Matty, the unit actually has four sections and they're asking about 180 USD. The chair has a footstool and costs 170usd. I'm in Norway and it's a local website.

Too true! Happened to me...
Too true! Happened to me just the other day 🙁 The good thing is that there is a good item at least once a day on the site, I'd need a warehouse if I bought everything I found interesting. For example there are two vintage stressless recliners with metal bases plus footstools for 100 Usd the pair! It's about a two hour drive from here though and my other half isn't as enthusiastic about retro as I am!

aaahhhh....
well things here in Philadelphia arent so fortuitous....its rare that great things pop up..as far as your other half, cant help you with that...never easy when two people have conflicting taste...but a good compromise would be to find things, like the wall unit, that really are neither here nor there, less dated...in a word-timeless...if nothing else you, should be able to convince him/her of its practicality and thrift...a piece of furniture of vintage quality and of good design in todays marketplace would cost a considerable amount...

Oh he's completely hands off...
Oh he's completely hands off when it comes to decor and is usually pleased with the results of my efforts. It's just that driving a couple of hours just to check something out based on a photo sometimes takes a bit of persuading :-/
You see I can't drive (I know, an alien concept to you americans 🙂 so he has to take me. Oh well, he's agreed to go buy the chair if I can manage to get the seller on the phone.

That wall unit looks great...
That wall unit looks great and the price is low enough to not ask questions! My guess on an ID is Torbjorn Afdal for Bruksbo.

Thanks Matty
I can't get the chair guy on the phone:-( Van hire is a good idea! Might go there.
Demp: Thanks for the input, I procrastinated and somebody got there before me. Seller said she'd let me know if the interested party didn't take it... fingers crossed.
