Interesting Molded Plywood Chair with 3 Legs

This is a recent acquisition that I know nothing about - no label underneath or stamp on the wood. It's really quite comfortable, with a little give - sort of rocks - and sturdy, too. Nicely applied wood, too (I guess it's plywood, perhaps laminated wood, though, or is that the same thing?)

Looks like
Someone put the 3-leg base from an Ant chair onto a Series 7 chair.

Thanks, woodywood - you seem to have nailed this (no pun intended). But hmmm, I wonder... Do you know if the Series 7 chairs have the legs attached with one center screw?

Okay
Both the three-leg base and four-leg base appear to attach to the seat the same way... via three bolts.
