Anyone ever see something like this before? Knoll and Steelcase come to mind, but also maybe some low-rate junk.
I can't provide any labels or marks at the moment. And my apologies for the limited photos. It's all I have to go on right now as it's out in the wild.
It was from a downtown library auction. Says to be formica, wood and steel and the white formica has a "grid pattern."
Thanks and appreciate the help!

You can determine whether it's "low rate junk" or not by inspecting it. It's office furniture. If it's sturdy and stable it's okay. Look at how the legs support the top, shake it a bit, feel how heavy and stable it is and judge whether it will perform adequately when it is placed. It's not a design classic, there's nothing revolutionary or particularly interesting here (so who cares who "designed" it), it's a simple table desk. This does not mean that it's junk, it's just an attractive industrial/institutional style study table.
I realize the "who cares" concept re: the "designer" is probably a touchy thing to bring up on the forum, but it's something that applies to a lot of the junk er... I mean objects that people want identified on this thing presumably so they can make more when they sell the stuff... PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM speaking generally here so please take no offense... I mean it never hurts to be particular but when it's just more of the same of another generic example of whatever category a lot of the times it really doesn't matter, just call it "retro" or whatever...

Thanks Objectworship. Probably shouldn't have used the word junk.
I do find it to be a simple and attractive piece. It's for sale but I'm no where near it or I would have done the things you mentioned right away for inspection.
I was just hoping there might be an identification out there if it were something I wasn't aware of.
Thanks.
