We've had this chair for about 15 years. My wife bought it at an estate sale, and the very old woman who sold it said her family had had it since she was very young. We restored and reupholstered it.

No offense, Bryan, but I...
No offense, Bryan, but I seriously doubt anyone here will know about this chair as it isn't really in the style that is generally sought after by the posters here.
But, please, make yourself at home and post and read, read, read if you wish!

Hmm.
You know, the fact that this chair is not readily identifiable only makes it more interesting to me, and only makes me more and more curious...

Generally speaking if you're...
Generally speaking if you're collecting, you have to think twice about reupholstering. Or so I understand, anyway. What did the original fabric look like?

Looks pretty 70s lodge to me, but I really wouldn't know. Not all chairs are "designer." In fact, most aren't. This would be my guess.

Better pics...
The old lady we bought it from said that her family had had it since she was very young, so I don't think it's from the '70s. She also mentioned that it was rare and/or by some special designer (I think she said some protege of Frank Lloyd Wright).
If it's just a non-designer production piece, I would have to think I'd be able to find similar ones on the 'net fairly easily. (For instance, I have a Gunlocke 2327USB, which I think is very common, and it was easy to locate pictures of others on the 'net.)
Before we restored it, it it had a burlap spring cover, with some black printing/emblem on it that was unreadable. It looked OLD.
We restored it because it was unusable otherwise. We bought it to use, not as an investment. It's very comfortable.
My wife does want to get rid of it because it's not practical, but I don't want to let go of it until I know what it is.
