Hello,
I have inherited a Falcon Chair by Sigurd Ressell. However my chair is an early design and has 'w' shaped legs. I think this design is sometimes referred to as the 'Spider' version.
I am interested in understanding more about my chair but am having trouble finding definitive information on this particular design.
Can anybody help shed light on the provenance of my chair?
Many thanks
nick

what is the problem
rubinn,
I was able to Google more than one of the chairs you described in your request (so much for your so-called "limited availability of information on the internet"). What is the problem with doing your own homework?

"Rare"
I hate the use of that word in descriptions.......doubt it is worth much more than the regular version of the Falcon chair, perhaps its actually worth less. Found a pic of the "spider"

rubinn,
The falcon chair...
rubinn,
The falcon chair seems to sell anywhere from $500 up to a little over $1000 with the ottoman. Personally I've sold the falcon chairs (with no ottoman) for around $700. I would imagine your version would sell for about the same.

Apologies and thanks so far!
Apologies for asking for a valuation and for my description.
I was led to believe it is 'rare' and I have struggled to find anything definitive about the chair - indeed what I have found may be contradictory, ie some say the chair is an early form of Ressell's Falcon Chair (it certainly has many of the same design features) and at least another source says it's a Viking Chair by Jim Myrstad!?
I am generally interested in understanding the provenance and worth of the chair and would appreciate any direction.
Thank you for your pointers so far.
