Some say no need. I asked a company's management they say this is to look at the individual's abilities, we also need to undergraduate, I personally feel some of the most industrial design is the need of fresh ideas to enterprises to absorb such a concept should be faster, spend 3 years to more in-depth study and spend three years to feel the social market brought fresh ideas, which one is better? Perhaps you don't have to choose one or the other.
I don't know whether it is true everywhere, but many companies in the USA pay for their employees to attend graduate school... So it's possible to join a company with an undergraduate degree, then gain experience AND gain a Master's degree simultaneously.
