Home Girls.
It's there. It's on Burnet Rd. between 46th and 47th (by Bark and Purr). It's a fairly new store. The Schultz table is the petal one with the wooden top. It looks as though it was an outside table b/c the wood is very weathered (a look that I personally love). Also, one of the petals is missing about 1/3 of it. If I had the money, I would probably buy it, but a college student/ part time interior design assistant budget won't allow me to. However, I just purchased an upholstered version of the eames dcm for $40 and might be buying a swan chair for $200!
LRF...
I think that I'm going to buy it. It's got about a 6" long rip in it that goes from the back down to the seat. It's made out of vinyl and a guy that I know is in the auto upholstery business and can fix it for now (until later when I can actually have it completely reupholstered.
Paint ?
I think your apartment looks fantastic.
It's really well balanced and every piece seems to have a place or purpose which i think is not easy if one is a collector and there are other things you own which have to end up in storage. CLUTTER is certain DEATH !
The red thing's certainly not noticeable and if your concerned about it why not embrace it as a recurring theme.
By the way....if you were permitted to paint , what colours would you use ?
probably boring to most
but I tend to stay pretty neutral with the majority of my wall paint. I prefer color to mainly occur with small, changeable items. I'm a white junkie, so I'd say I would probably paint it a few shades of white (There are several places where the ceiling changes height and angle). In addition, I might add one wall of a barely noticeable darker shade or a very simple wallpaper.
Where the tile surrounds the fireplace, I would build it out with a perfectly square ledge made with whitewashed wood. This would make another place for pottery and kokeshi dolls.
I would recover the floor in blonde bamboo. I would add matching ceiling slats with recessed lighting.
The counters would be natural gray poured concrete with exposed plywood cabinets.
Yip !
Glad to hear your thoughts are not of dark wall colours 🙁
My preference for walls is almost always white/tints of white or very pale shades of pastel colours. Also , similarly, I introduce colour through furnishings, light fixtures, rugs, sculpture, artwork and particularly plants.....maan I luv my plants !

oops, my mistake. well, whoever made them, they are lovely. And they do fit your space very well.

Well, apparently I can be...
Well, apparently I can be somewhat prone to euphemistic phrasing at times .. I learned something new though !
perhaps it is somewhat ironic that the inspired product is more widely known in some circles nowadays than the original. It is a bit sad that there seems to be so little memory for design history..
