Can anyone tell me about Walter Knoll? Any relation to Hans? What's the deal?
I know one thing, I'm in love with this chair from the Radar!

There is also a bit of info at architonic.com, which says that Hans Knoll was Walter's son, who moved to America and established Knoll International.

This timeline at the Walter Knoll website states that in 1947 Hans Knoll provided them with their successful "Vostra" chair design. I had read recently that it was Jens Risom's designs for Hans Knoll that sent the company in a Modernist direction, and the "Vostra" chair that Hans shared with Walter appears to be one of those designs, although the Walter Knoll website makes no mention of Risom.

While we're on this subject, I recently picked up a pair of these chairs which are labeled "Knoll Antimott." According to the Walter Knoll timeline, the Antimott series was designed by Walter's brother, Wilhelm but there's no mention of who actually produced or designed any of the furniture in the series in later years -- Wilhelm Knoll (the father's company) or Walter Knoll. Any of you Europeans know the answer?
