carried his seat back through to his legs and frame on this chair, what an amazing chair he'd have ended up with. This chair is a classic example of a designer making have a break through and leaving an artifact behind that a contemporary designer might carry forward today.

To my eye, Carl Jacob's 'Jason' chair for Kanys was always more succesful than the Mogensen one

To the best of my knowledge, the Carl Jacobs chair, in this form, appeared in 1950
A metal legged version appeared about 3 years later.
