Can anyone tell me the maker of this chair? I found it at a garage sale. It was upholstered in a pink and blur floral but I saved it.

Nice chair. Glad you saved it.

Oh man
I was just about to make the ID, but you beat me to it. I am trying to work on my perceptive skills here. Nice chair.

The same chair was discussed...
The same chair was discussed back in 2009, with comparisons made to Kofod Larsen's "Seal" chair for OPE. If this chair is also Kofod Larsen, which manufacturer was it?

So why another recent post?
This was posted recently already? I'm actually not really certain that it is Kofod Larsen. It does look slightly different than the Model 800 Seal highback chair.

Over the years I have seen...
Over the years I have seen three versions of this chair for sale at various retailers - a high back chair, a low back version, and a version that uses the same upholstered section sitting on a frame that has different arms. Sometimes they are even advertised as being Kofod Larsen Elisabeth chairs, although most often they are described as "attributed to Selig and Kofod Larsen". I have never seen one that has Selig tags, or any other identifying marking.
While the chair is definitely not a Seal chair, my impression has been that it is often put forth as a sort of variant of the Seal chair, albeit done by Kofod Larsen for Selig. However, I have thus far not seen any evidence that supports this.

Good input!
tchp- Thanks for the additional information and input. I'd say that the $45 purchase Shinyperson made, and my $5 example noted in 2009 were good buys. Cheers!

Isn't it strange?
I have seen these chairs from time to time. I love the Ib Kofod Larsen "Elizabeth or u56 or Seal/Sälen" chairs, whatever you want to call them, but this chair (which is beautiful in it's own right) is significantly different from those other versions. The way the frame bends around the back slightly as opposed to the straighter version. The way the arms are flatter/sleeker than the bulkier version pictured. The bend at the base of the chair that hugs the frame on the "confirmed" IKL's. Selig normally has a stamp on their products, right? I just wonder why we can't get an accurate identification on these. They are clearly Ib Kofod Larsen inspired. They are generally affordably priced. Who made them? American versions? The few that i have seen appear to be oak? I really wish someone could accurately identify them. I'd love that they were IKL's, but I have my doubts. Please someone answer the mystery!

It is Absolutely Selig
Hi, I have one in walnut. It does have the Made and Finished, Denmark, Imported by Selig round metal tag attached. It's in original condition, needing new upholstery. It still has it's original faggastraps which also need to be replaced. It is absolutely Selig, and I can't imagine that this design could be anything but Kofod-Larsen..??? Hoping someone can positively identify as such.

It is Absolutely Selig
More accurately, the tag reads "Made and Finnished, Denmark, Imported by Selig".
