I recently bought this Ib Kofod Larsen chair.
It needs new upholstering, but I don't know if this upholstering is the original from the 50s.
I want to restore it, and want to know the exact colour and fabric etc in which these chairs were originally upholstered.

Maybe anyone knows more about these chairs and can give me some more information?

Hi
The current upholstery does not look original. I believe most of these had cotton canvas fabric on the seat and a non-upholstered back.

A good hopsack or nubby fabric from Maharam, Knoll, Herman Miller would do fine. There were versions with upholstered backs for sure.
