Yeah, i know. Another Ikea question...
I did a search and its been kicked around the battlefield.
And they have a Museum(!?)
But curious what independent designer have they used besides
Verner Panton.
Vilbert chairs, pair
Melamin coated MDF
211?2l x 161?2w x 331?2h
This chair proved to be too abstract for the mindset of the Ikea clientele, as a result, few chairs were produced. Labels.
Sold at auction for 600
Other "independent" designers...
...that have designed for Ikea include Hella Jongerius (Maharam, Vitra, Droog), James Irvine (Cappellini, B&B Italia, SCP), Thomas Eriksson (Cappellini) and Thomas Sandell (Artek, Asplund, B&B). I really rate Sandell's stackable plastic outdoor chair that he designed for Ikea a few years back. At £12, it was a bargain.
