Could anyone please help me identify this chair? It has really cool caning that's in great shape, and the design is interesting. I bought it about three years ago at an antique store in Georgia, and I reupholstered it last year. (The original upholstery was a pink colored velvety fabric that was quite worn.) I'm not interested in proving it's super valuable or anything, but I would like to know more about it. I've flipped it over and searched for marks or tags, but I can't see anything. I'm guessing the wood is walnut and that the chair's from the 1940s-1960s, but I really have no idea as I haven't seen one like it before. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

wow
Thanks! I was sure it was later, but then I don't know much about early 20th century furniture. I looked up a few but still can't find one exactly like this.

Thanks
Thanks for the help. I wish I could find a stamp or brand of some sort. I've looked underneath, but I haven't gone so far as to remove the staples that attach the batting underneath. I'm having the same problem with some two-tiered end tables that I also posted on here. No manufacturer marks anywhere that I can see.

i'll put sixpence on this chair being several decades before the 1960's. Hoffman is often credited with the popularisation of the "tub chair" which I thought may be a helpful as a search term rather than as an attempted attribution.
