I have these 2 chairs handed down to me by my parents. They recall very little about where they were purchased and for how much.

I'd like to know if:

1. anyone can identify the designer/maker

2. there aren't any stamps or manufacture marks on them, but we did discover this burned in etching/design mark(?) on one of them. But it's hard to tell if it's a stamp or just a flaw in the wood. Any ideas?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

American
Look American made rather than Danish. Need better views from the side, but looks like a Baumritter piece.

well ...
I wouldn't call them knockoffs. I'm just not certain they were made in Denmark. There just isn't the flow and grace with these; that you see out of almost every true Danish design.
These seem a little "boxy" which really reminds of a few Baumritter chairs I've had. Could also be Stanley?
I've found a couple other pics of the same chair on google, but none listed a maker.
Hope somebody else with more knowledge than me can help you!
Dave

they are odd
its seems that you have danish writing on the chair, but they do look so american, danish designed chairs typically have rounded off wood american seem to keep it more square shaped, but thats just from what i have seen,
but i must agree with the others, they look very american.
