Can anyone ID? Driving me crazy. Too cool. Looks all kinds of Wegner. But of course, it's probably not.

Actually, it looks a bit Hvidt & Mølgaard, but I really don't think it is.

Thanks Lief! Yes, it does look like Hvidt. I also thought Fredrik Kayser, or Uno Kristansson but no joy.

You know, I think this chair might be something other than Danish. Where was it found?  Any clues to its origin?

OK, just to add to the confusion. My first thougt was Phillip Lloyd Powell. As with Hvidt & Mølgaard, it looks like his style. I don't recall ever seing any of Powells chairs for sale here in Denmark, so my knowledge about him is limited to google. I hate to admit this, but Powells designs surpasses alot of the danish MCM designers 🙂
The chair is beautiful though, no matter who designed it.

It was found in Sweden so could of course be Swedish. Looks more Danish to me but I am not too up on Swedish design!

OK, this chair was at auction in Sweden and sold for roughly $3,500. SOMEONE knew who designed it! I still don't.

What a crisis indeed!
They say that curiosity can kill.
I must say, though, that the chair is certainly worth a second look. Doing so has got me rethinking my opinion of hairpin legs. The upholstery fabric couldn't be more perfectly suited ...and those arms!

@ darthtardly
Do you have a link to the auction?
