looks like the halyard is holding up quite well, better than the steel, anyone know what the halyard actually is?
Hemp? Cotton? Linen? Is it waxed? Allways wanted to play with it for a macrame chaise like this one:

Isn't there
a "snowshoe chair" somewhere, made of the traditional materials ?
It's a pleasure to see Wegner taking a break from his traditional materials, and making an "industrial design" object.

Yes, there are several traditional-looking examples of "snowshoe chair" when you Google that term. Rawhide, or nylon. . .
I seem to recall something more "modern."

That snowshoe chair is amazing, such delicate joinery! I wish mine was up to that standard.
It looks almost like a Barber Osgerby design.
