Naive perhaps but I never knew how personalised google search results are based on what you've been up to, I thought it was odd that some DA stuff was turning up in the first few results after having posted something just a few days ago.
Paste &pws=0 at the end of your query and the results are different, quite interesting to see what comes up...sort of like homophily but worse! I want to know stuff I don't already know about.
What would be interesting is if you could base your search results on someone elses history, say you're a student and you want to get the best information on Descarte maybe you could somehow have it based on a lecturers history or a pool of people you respect, the unbiased results are a bit mediocre, maybe thats just a lowest common denominator thing.

What is reqiured is a pool of cookies...
