I need some help finding design objects  

Good morning,
I am an art student and i need some help. I am conducting a project, i will pass you the details, but at the end of this project I am supposed to create an object of applied arts.
There is no problems about that, I have some ideas, but the point is that I need references :
"previous works in applied arts that can be used as sources and inspiration for your personal project".
So here is the problem : I need references, previous work of other designers/architects/Artists etc... that could use the same principles as mine. (I don't know if I am quite clear...)
Anyway I am now going to present you my ideas, whatever their possibilities/interrests, here is not the question.
-A mirror/clock : It would be a mirror that you pull out from a closet to look yourself. In this mirror is founded a clock with big clockwises turning face to your head. You can still see yourself in it but with the clockwises in background. Behind this mirror (the other face), there is the same mirror but with a makup space (adjustable table, compartments which contain make up).
Principle : when you want to see yourself, you inevitably see the hour. When you want to see what time is it, you inevitably see your style.
-A public space, which is quite close. In this space they are tables, seats, etc... like a space of relaxation for the neighborhood. Everywhere they are little lamps (permanently light on) which you can switch to the color you want (white, blue, green, etc...) at the place you are standing (when you read, discuss with friends, eating, etc...)
Principle : Everybody into this space influences the light atmosphere of the space.
Here it is, I am not asking you if these are actually good ideas, I'm asking you if you know designers which would have already produced things like what i described.
The more references I have, the best it is.

Sorry for my english if it is not good by some moments, I'm french.
And if you think I am cheating and asking you to do something at my place : It's the truth, but it has no consequences at all because I will not go into design in my professional life, I prefer Illustration that is my true passion.
