Thanks Leif, I had to buy the set as the seller wanted it all gone at once. I'm going to investigate to see if the original upholstery or webbing is under the current upholstery, but that's probably asking too much!

Thanks cirahello, I thought the table might not be Moller, the Moller no. 78 chairs must have been acquired separately to the table!

They actually could easily have been acquired with the table. Retailers would carry a large variety of different companies's product so that the customer could choose.

That makes sense, I'm waiting for them to arrive to have a proper look but I have a feeling the chairs and table will no longer live happily together, I have another table in mind! So happy I got the chairs, have it in mind to try and change the upholstery back to something more in keeping with their original form and to suit my current tastes! I have to thank you all for all the help!

Just an update, and a question! I finally got the chairs and they are the real deal!! The stamps are there, and there's one that says 89/453. Does this mean they were produced in 1989? Does this make them less desirable than earlier ones?
