Olive...
This will never do. Its too easy to read and use. Who will believe you when you say you misread the clock, or set it incorrectly, the next time you are tardy? Don't you realize the reason for all obscurely marked timepieces is to give one an excuse for being late to appointments? I know this to be true, because in Los Angeles, where "traffic made me late" has trumped all other excuses for tardiness, clearly marked timepieces seem to be making a comeback. 🙂

I can complement you Olive on a good choice, but I also have to point out that it is a copy. The original...was designed by Bengt Ek, a Swiss based Swedish designer. My guess would be 1985-1985?
Should I repeat this 500 times just to get my message across?...no, you are right dcwilson, it would not be symetrical....
Koen, a link please?
I tried to Google for a photo of the original design, but couldn't find it. I found a lot of cool looking weather stations and cooking timers and a few other clocks, but nothing that looked like the Bai design. I'd love to see from whence it came. Do you have a link?

I believe I am ordering this...
I believe I am ordering this one. Minimal and can use an outletif desired. I especially like that it is only an alarm .... no radio.

ROTFLMAO!!
You are a poet! You said what has been on the tip of my tongue for years, but which I could never quite bring to sufficient consciousness to say. Perhaps it has always been too early in the morning when it occured to me. 🙂 Anyway, thanks for saying it. Who needs a radio option on an alarm clock these days? Consider this a challenge to the youngsters to introduce me to some good, new music. It has to be out there. I just haven't heard it yet.
DCWilson
It is out there. It just isn't very popular. The record industry has mastered the science of selling music now, and unfortunately they sell to the masses ... the regulars with little or no understanding of music craft. It isn't any different than the cheap, mediocre products that Walmart sells or from the poorly designed cookie cutter houses shoved down our throats. The industry has the potential (and in my opinion responsibilty) to educate buyers, but instead they take the safe way out by selling them the same drab over and over.
I don't want to change this topic so I'll move it elsewhere...
