Time...the final frontier
Fascinating stuff. It's apparent from all of this that humans need time to make sense of their existence. It is also apparent that everyone has differing opinions/reactions to an ideal. An ideal both, in a time keeping device, as well as a format and then the resulting cultural significance. And all this cuz I wanted some directions on finding a decent alarm clock.
Over the weekend I managed to herniate a disk in my back and have been spending the week zoned out on pain killers and muscle relaxants. Time does funny things when your brain is muddled. It compacts and stretches in weird ways. Makes me wonder how others perceive time in their heads. It can apparently be different for each of us.
Tempted
OK, I have to admit...somehow I was tempted...but I held off until the fit passed...must be the percosets

Finally!
Well I finally found a clock I like, my only compromise being I went with batteries over electrical. So I bought a recharger and reusable batteries to cut down on the chemical waste production.
The one I bought is by Thomas Bai and called the "Pick me up". It's simple in form but contains sensible, useful functions such as a snooze function where you only have to pick the clock up and set it back down again. When the alarm isn't going off lifting the clock turns on a small light for night viewing. All in all a thoughtfully design product at a good price!
