We have two matching sofas by Hvidt from 1950-1959 which we would like to get reupholstered as they were recovered in a 70s brown at a later date. They were originally a mid blue colour. I have included a picture I found on the web of the same model.
What colours were popular for Danish sofas during the 50s? We want the piece to look authentic to the time.
Danica range and copenhagen
were mostly used by France and son for the sofas.
Have a look though GABRIEL selection of fabrics as the interglobe wool is good.
I find the best is CHESS ROYAL PLAIN.
But ultimately it's your call.

.
my living room, original upholstery on both, got more untouched chairs if you're interested but the colours probably won't show well with differing cameras and monitors etc. Tonus is good, a Kvadrat dealer should be able to post you samples.
Got my samples out, tonus 3 (unless its changed) is a good coarse wool weave, the blue posted above looks pretty close to 631, the orange on the chair looks very much like 605, another chair is an excellent match to 207, can't match the sofa.
Good luck.
