Getting ready to replace my LCW mounts. Got an quote from Alfie at Humemodern.
I know some of you have used his services before, and rave his work.
What I'm confused about...
He doesn't provide VERY important information about collecting payment, return shipping, clear warranty info or what to do should a problem arise.
Lack of upfront info and not answering questions is usually a red flag. What I just described is a standard business outline. Not eviscerating, just concerned about sending something potentially irreplaceable.
Little loose with details
I've used Alfie three times at this point for various chairs. While a little loose with the details it all gets done, and done properly. Ask him about warranty on the LCW - I think he told me 5 years on the Eames Lounge. Shipping ran me 30-40$ on the back panels of the Eames lounge, and about $20 each way on the LCW backrest.
Oh, and I used PayPal to pay him - no trouble at all. He sent a final bill after I received the chair parts back.
