Ok, so I love the modern, mid century and retro items. My drapes are authentic 1968 blue, green and white flora, my couch is turquoise my shag is orange brown and white. I have the teak coffee table and of course a authentic entertainment center. I have started to just gather up things when I hit estate sales to add to my collection. I go around looking for vintage audio components. I went back to an estate sale today for half off day. I seen a sunburst that was quite nice but was missing some spokes or something. She asked me did I see the one behind the door, nope I sure didn't. She showed me and said she would let it go for 100$ but I didn't have it. On the way back in I looked at it closer, I said its a bummer the face is cracked. She said she didn't even notice but its mine for 50$ couldn't argue with that. I came home, and scrubbed all the cigarette tar off it, cleaned the mirror and Plexiglas and re lacquered the aluminum housing. The mirror is cracked and so is the face. Not to noticeable but they can be replaced by a glass shop. I am in love with it and now comes research time I cannot find anything on this clock and nothing on ebay. The model is 618, can anyone share any info?

i have a few of these
and adore them.
Not much info really. Not Nelson.
I have one in perfect working order and one in parts on my work table.
Another is just for parts...
Working properly it is a gem. I do like fussing with clocks and i like a
pendulum. No battery, no electric.
An e-bay seller had a catalog for sale with this model pictured but
i didn't want to pay the price for a copy for the small paragraph of info for
this one.
Just enjoy it and share any info if you find. I searched a bit a couple years ago
but realized it is just another interesting 60's conglomeration of the era.
Is yours working?
If you have trouble getting it running, please ask. I've rebuilt one and know it's
fussiness.
The one i have working is at the top of the stairs. The right pendulum is best
a few inches above the chime pendulum on the right. I pull them weekly.
I like having the physical connection. (my wrist-watch is Kobold and non battery)
If you want a value it is maybe 300 in great working order. Many have sat for
months on e-bay trying to get 8 or 900.
Not a very desired clock. Very heavy. Mine are identical on the face and workings but are built with different backs. Modification because the tended
to fall off the wall. The one i bought for parts for 30 has dents all over it but
the mechanics are mint.
Great price for 50! Your hands have been repainted? All of mine have red and
white.

Oh that is awesome, would...
Oh that is awesome, would you be interested in sharing some parts? I really need one of the hour markers, its mia and drives me insane. I also need the front plexi and back mirror but that isn't as important you can email me at jjblue4@juno.com. Mine is in excellent working condition but it was running fast, so I pulled it down to re read the instructions, I got it adjust to run fine but now it won't chime if I pull the weight it will chime but no chime on its own anymore, not sure whats up with that. It would be neat to see the original catalog you mentioned, maybe one day I will come across one. It is a heavy clock, I put an anchor in the wall but still afraid it might fall, my case just has a few tiny dents and scratches nothing horrible, just not sure how the back mirror managed to get cracked. I seen that too that the hands are red and white, when i pulled mint off the backs are brass and I can't figure out why they would have been repainted but the hand holder nut is red, I might paint them back to red and white so they'll be easier to see.

I have a few markers.
Not a problem. I'm out of the country at the moment but
when i return i will be reminded as the one is spread out
in bits all over my work table...
I'll drop it in the post.
Looks like your chime arms are not in correct position.
The pendulum disk has a small adjustment screw to set the time but
it seems you have figured that out. Mine looses one minute a month.
One of my chime set of arms was disarmed. It is such a subtle sound but may
have annoyed a previous owner?

That is great I was going to...
That is great I was going to go hunting around to craft stores in the attempt to find similar markers. I got the chimes to work again the chain, I guess wasn't in the correct area or what have you, then it stopped running, this morning I work up and the chain was off the other weight, I think its all worked out now, I just won't ever take it off the wall again. Not sure who would disable the chimes, they are so mellow. When the tv is on I can barely hear them.
