I would love to know if anyone could give me some pointers on identifying my teak dining table. I fell in love with it at first sight and so I didn't ask too many questions from the dealer when I bought it. However she mentioned to me that it was signed and I can't find a signature on it. What I can find are two markings. One is an ink stamped 35 and the second with a embedded 98 (could be an 86 but the top circle of the 8 is slightly smaller if you read it as 98 so I believe it is 98) which is printed on the centre bar as well as both side of each leaf. I can find it in six different locations on the piece. Any help in where to look for a signature or other identifying marks would be appreciated. Also if anyone happens to recognize the style, that would be fantastic. I'm just curious if it is even an original or not and I'd love to know more about the designer if it were original for interest sake.

there is
one designer who is known for curved edged dining tables and offset trim. I forget his name but can probably find it when I get a chance. Danish for sure.

Same table here attributed to Harry Ostergard,
(edit: The detail of the table base, leg corners looks different though.)

Same leaf details on this one
This one has exactly the same leaf structure and leg connections. It almost looks like there might be a stamp under the leaf "arms". I'll take it apart tomorrow to see if I can find a manufacturer's stamp there. How exciting!
