Recently,I'm addicted in Japanese design especially those succinct products .I always keep a watchful eye on
Naoto Fukasawa and Kenya Hara just because I wanna to learn more about Japanese design and their Design spirit. So,could you coommuniacate more about their design or their products?
a learning experience
,
I recently purchased Viction-ary, HKDA Asia Design Awards 09 for Viction-workshop Ltd (I do appreciate slipcased books). The book is very informative, with many great designs for both the mass market and culture specific (a learning experience for me).
Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara are fun and easily available at many price points.
I realy want the Hsiao-Ying Lin Yii Moon rabbit bowl (for immediate use as a drinking vessel) and I find the Glowbelly Steamboat by Tan Lun Cheak interesting.
I enjoy all good design. Good luck with your thread (I know that I have not been Japanese specific in regard to your statment and question).

Thank you.
I regret that I was not clear and you misunderstood me. I said "Murakami and Nara are fun and easily available...". I should have made a more specific reference to their "design decorations - flowers and anime" on design icons and objects (ashtray, LV luggage, soccer ball, etc).
You are too caring in highlighting my misleading sentence. Those instances are indeed an artist(s) working with a designer(s). I appreciate your concern and thoughtfulness so that others may be better informed.
edit: I may have any or all parts right or wrong for the "Hsiao-Ying Lin Yii Moon rabbit bowl" I posted. I just like this piece and I know nothing beyong Yii - Crafts and Design from Taiwan (gallery).
I am looking to "learn" more. Punctuation, spelling, and fact checking are always welcome.
