Landfill, schmanfill
Is there that much difference between a landfill and a cemetary? (lol)
The only possible way to mid-century "green" is to buy a used original.

The significant differences
-as explained above: quality of manufacture; quality of labor used; and the already-expended energy used to create secondhand knock-offs.
Instead of third world materials; slave labor; and a huge amount of expended energy in both manufacture and also in transporting them halfway around the globe.
And before you jump back about the copyright issues you should peruse the forum as those have been addressed myriad times before.
