Does anyone have knowledge and/or examples of placing a horizontal slat fence upon or attached to a pre-existing wall?

Currently, we would like a bit more privacy and our brick walls stand around 5 ft in height. I was told that current building codes allow for walls to be 6ft. Any suggestions and/or pictures of how this could be accomplished?

Thank you in advance

I will measure
them today. I believe that they are solid, however, this will also be investigated. Blessings

.
Mount wd. fence posts w/ floor flange 6'-8' o.c.
fasten w/ sleeve anchor bolts 3/8"x3";
anchor wd. rails between posts;
fasten horizontal boards.
2" clear between face of masonry and anchor,
Use p.t.w.,
does your mas. wall have a coping; stone? mtl?
Your local zoning ordinance says 6' h. max?
