I don't see hopsack offered as an option on the Herman Miller site, unless they gave it a name other than hopsack.
I see vintage chairs done in Girard hopsack, which I believe is all wool or mostly wool (some nylon, if anything). I've never seen vintage wool hopsack with pills. I don't *think* that nylon pills, either. What does pill is acrylic---also, olefin, which is probably just a trade name for a particular kind of acrylic. But I doubt that Herman Miller puts olefin fabric on their chairs. I think it's kind of a low-end fabric.
