beinahe nichts, its all about the beinahe not the nichts.
Its funny how with so little you can read more into it, maybe I'm writing twaddle but I think of the chair butons as reflecting the grid, kind of a human contact with the platonic mathemathics.

I agree they definitely didnt go into any great depth,
I did some good further reading off the back of them (I hadnt heard of David Hicks or Charles Voysey prior to listening)
Really enjoying Cruickshanks new architecture series on BBC2 at the minute, "golly" he he

TV architecture critics
David Hicks' books crop up on Ebay or Abe quite often but are surprisingly expensive. Cruikshank is very good, and I've got a soft spot for Max Hutchinson. Haven't seen 'B movie architect' Piers Gough in anything recently. I remember hearing him speak at a Twentieth Century Society do at the De la Warr Pavilion about 12 years ago and warning that 'the modernists are back and this time they're serious'. He got that right!
