Kelly Wearstler and Stephen Roberts are my favorite interior designers, though their aesthetics are polar opposites. Who do you like better?

Here is some of Kelly Wearstler:

The Stephen Roberts pics don't open for me.
They're minimalist in the extreme.

Just went to his website--
they really ARE minimalist, in the extreme-- like sterile furniture showrooms. Do people live in these rooms, or are they just created to be photographed?
They make me nostalgic for the nostalgic rooms of Kelly Wearstler.

I fixed the pics
damn .png files:(
These 2 people are my absolute favorites right now. If I won the lottery and built a new place.... I wouldn't know who to pick. I love both looks equally.

Kelly Wearstler
Looks to be inspired by the work of David Hicks.
Not a bad thing..just an observation

.
I was stumped for a minute there, how do you run an interior decorating firm from solitary confinement in a US prison?
David Hicks' other work, a little more restrained.

Halliday
To me, Iain Halliday is the greatest interior designer in the world today (and certainly in Australia) His practice is called Burley Katon Halliday, (BKH) See his work at www.bkh.com.au

It was only a couple of years...
It was only a couple of years that I was told why architectural photographs never have people in them (long exposure times).
I'm curious to know how quickly these assemblages ( No No the black ceramic swan MUST be rotated 3 degrees to the left!) fall apart after the designer leaves. I'd feel like I was living on a film set.

and disappearing,
handbag in two of the shots ..
but no sign of the owner 😉
