Y'all know I love the personalized threads about our own homes. How are you incorporating design into your holiday decor this year?

Noel
I thought it was the one time of the year where design and style goes out the window!

WHC,
you are only lacking Spanky's stuffed squirrel and your holiday will be complete.

Haven't decorated yet...
but it's pretty minimal at Casa Olive too. No one in my family celebrates any of the traditional religious holidays of this time of year, we're more of a Winter Solstice kind of crowd. So the decorating tends to be in the bushes and trees catagory...

We're a bunch of grumpy athiests and Jews
But, we do have a soft spot for traditional holiday television fare: Boris Karloff's rendition of "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch", and "It's A Wonderful Life".
Your heart would have to be full of unwashed socks not to cheer for Mr. Potter, when he discovers the Bailey Building and Loan deposit tucked within the newspaper.

We're a bunch of grumpy atheists with neighboring Jews.
We all celebrate as New Yorkers tend to do.
It's a warm and fuzzy time. I'm fond of it.
I always do something lit and plugged in...
but way too early for me.
: )

Fuck me for being such a cynic."

Here's our attempt at yuletide spirit...
One pic is a crosspost, sorry, and we've tried the nativity setup in a couple spots obviously.

Thanks jesgord,
I love that tree of yours.
The cacti and succulents thing is a new hobby, a lot of fun, just wished we lived somewhere they could grow outside year-round. I know there are cold-hardy varieties but it's just not the same.
