.
Just plain hideous upholstery, I hate these buttoned down headboards, they always remind me of adult shops and inventive lingerie.

How about this early...
How about this early Florence Knoll, series 27 settee, I stripped and reworked, name the errors if you can. The birch legs went into hiding from this hack job. It must have had 10 inches of dacron plump filling it.

ackk...that bottom one is...
ackk...that bottom one is something my mother would do. Bless her poor tasteless little soul. My mother is the definition of tacky when it comes to decorating...which is why I think I like the simplicity of mid-century modern so much LOL

Haha
Is that one from the recent series where they upholstered like 50 Egg chairs in all sorts of things?

I know this isnt upholstery but I had to vent my rage at seeing this and I didnt want to smash my keyboard again.
I hope we can all take a minutes silence to remember that this used to be an original period piece of furniture.

latest craze
seems to be that a ting finder in Denmark is busy paiting everything under the sun to give it the "arne vodder & Sibast" look.
In my oppinion the first time i see one of these monsters at a fair I will throw up!
I wonder if the "illness" in the owner is the result of driving a VW polo with all different panels, for too many years!!!

There also seems to be a growing trend for taking a nice subtle piece of Mid Century design and reupholstering it in stripy Paul Smith fabric.
Is it just me or does this make other people want to hurl when they see it.

Uggh.. Arthur
I know what you mean. There's a dealer in the area that always posts "Great Mid Century Credenza!" And then you click and he gushes in the posting about how hes had it professionally lacquered. They were just hideous - lime green, black with white drawers. They made post modern look sane and rational.
