"This 20th century icon has been re-envisioned through a contemporary intervention that both arouses and challenges the collective memory embedded in these now classic, ubiquitous symbols of Modernism. They are part of a small collection of unique upholstered pieces to be created through a Moss-Maharam collaboration. Over time, we hope to encourage an expanding dialogue between Maharam's contemporary textiles and strong iconic works from our collective object-history, hopefully building bridges as well as awakening 'dead eyes'.
The upholstery textiles (Repeat Dot and Repeat Classic) were designed by Hella Jongerius for Maharam in 2002."
